According to Sanatan Dharma scriptures, the holy Trinity maintains harmony and balance in the Universe. The holy Trinity consists of Lord Brahma the Creator, Lord Vishnu the preserver and Lord Shiva the destroyer. Goddess Saraswati is Lord Brahma’s consort, Goddess Laxmi the consort of Lord Vishnu, and Goddess Parvati is the consort of Lord Shiva. Shiva is one of the main deities of Sanatan Dharma. Of the holy trinity he is the destroyer. Among his many names, popular ones are Neelkantha, Mahadeva, Shankara. His abode is Mount Kailasha in present day Tibet. Parvati is his consort and Ganesha, Kartikeya and Ashokasundari are their children.
Vishnu is one of the main deities of Sanatan Dharma. Goddess Laxmi is his consort. He is the preserver among the holy trinity. He has a thousand names. Some of the popular ones are Padmanabha, Laxmipati, Kamalnayan. His abode is Vaikuntha which is considered to be in a different realm. There are instances when he comes to help his devotees on earth.
Brahma is one of the deities of Sanatan Dharma. Of the holy trinity he is the Creator. Goddess Saraswati is his consort. He is also considered to be self-born and the creator of the four Vedas. He is the father of Four Kumaras, Narada, Daksha, Marichi and many others.
